This tune was written for the Season 3 closing credits of Red Vs Blue, specifically about a nameless, tragic figure who can't talk. This was going to be the new character introduced in Season 4, an alien who had managed to let down his entire race, leading to their extinction. "But," Matt and Burnie added, "we like the upbeat quality of Steady Ride." Several versions, with slightly different elements, have shown up over the years. The original credits version, which was never officially released, the "Numb Mix," which was only partially released on some limited CDs, and the version that's on Ghosts That Linger. The song is related to Champion, which appears two tracks later on GTL, and which is an old Trocadero song. Credits:
