Some years ago, I came across this flamenco guitar at The Trading Musician here in Seattle. It sounded unlike any nylon string I'd played and immediately fell in love with the instrument. The guitar was refretted and the crack on it repaired by Cat Fox and Rick Davis.
It was made in 1974 by George Peacock. I learned that he was a legendary San Francisco musical instrument repairman who tragically left us too soon in 2011. He would occasionally build Flamenco guitars from scratch in his shop, one of the oldest in San Francisco.
You can keep pushing this guitar, like an old tube amp or vintage drum kit, and it keeps on giving.
