After an email conversation with Chris Macleod in 2006, I purchased my first sample-based software library for use in the studio, the M-Tron.

While skeptical of working with non original sources, It was clear to me that Mr. Macleod and his partner were consummate professionals and also probably a bit nuts, my kind of people.

The M-Tron is a collection of painstakingly recorded, archival-quality Mellotron tape banks, later augmented by library samples for the Optigan, Chamberlin, and Orchestron keyboard instruments.

We've used GForce's M-Tron as well as their other sample-based software synthesizers.
