The Memorymoog (1982-1985) was the last poly synth to be made by Moog Music before the company declared bankruptcy in 1987. I purchased this unit from P.M. at Harmonix in 2017. These synths are big, complicated, and unless they were properly kept and fed, they're vulnerable to several failure points. A properly working MM is a commanding instrument that's inspiring to play and rewarding to record. Tim Warneck at retrolinear.com skillfully serviced this unit with upgrades which included installing dBm EPROMs, his fanless power supply, and gold-plated contacts. MC at analoguediehard.com provides valuable and rare resources on his killer website. |
