Made by a company in California called Spectrasonics, Omnisphere is a sample-based software instrument that uses, ironically, several synths we've been using for years. In that sense, it's a bit like buying grated cheese at the supermarket instead of grating your own. Sometimes, your guests show up on Taco Night, and you don't have time to do all your prepping. Omnisphere is a product that's commonly found in the workstations of many top video game, TV, and film score composers -- it's incredibly deep, and clearly a labor of love from its developers.
