The Moog guitar was a product originally launched in 2008 and now discontinued. The guitar's unique sound qualities come from its ability to control the energy of all six strings, meaning it can either add infinite sustain to all six strings (like having six EBows), or remove (mute) the energy. The one you hear on our songs was built by luthier Paul Rhoney by putting Moog "guts" into his beautiful Oceana guitar design. While Red vs. Blue's Reconstruction-era music used a lot of old synths for drone / creepy sounds, Seasons 11 and 12 make extensive use of this challenging instrument. Photo credit: Unknown
