The studio's piano is a Steinway 1915 Model K "Vertegrand," one of the oldest unchanged upright designs.

This piano was thoroughly restored by Lindeblad in 2014, including refinishing the original soundboard, new strings, pins, and felts, new Steinway action, parts, etc. It took about two years for it to acclimate to Seattle's weather (especially with the new strings,) and it records best 'wide open,' with both covers off.
